Issued at 1105pm CDT Wednesday August 5 2026

Ridging centered over the Southwest CONUS/Four Corners will keep uneventful weather over the region through the better half of next week at least. Heigheights and 850mb temperatures are still expected to drop into the weekend, resulting slightly lower heat stress and surface temperatures. Reduced subsidence and rising PWs should bring better rain chances during this period as well, with isolated to scattered showers and storms possible along the seabreeze/baybreeze each afternoon. Highs remain in the 90s each day with heat indices reaching the triple digits in the afternoon. Some patchy fog will be possible during the early morning hours.
